Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett second teaser trailer reveals new footage

A second teaser trailer for the upcoming Disney+ series, Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett has revealed new footage from the show.

As we get closer to December 29, more hints and clues are being revealed for the Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett series due to stream on Disney+. The first trailer for the show was revealed in early November, giving us a glimpse at a potential new career for the galaxy’s greatest bounty hunter as a crime lord to rival Jabba the Hutt.

The ‘Reign’ teaser dropped last night and there are some new scenes and characters in there that are getting us even more excited for the show’s arrival. The start of the second trailer has a quick shot of the huge door to Jabba’s palace opening up (similar to Luke’s entrance in Return of the Jedi) and Fennec Shand dragging a prisoner inside, echoing Princess Leia disguised as the bounty hunter Boushh bringing Chewbacca before the Hutt crime lord.

Other scenes show a new droid handing Boba his battered helmet, a rooftop parkour-style chase across a Tatooine city and more shots of a street battle between Boba and Fennec as they fight assailants carrying energy shields.

Most exciting is a scene of Slave 1 in a docking bay and the same infamous starship flying over a sandy Tatooine backdrop. We also get a brief glimpse of Jabba’s white torture droid 8D8 attending a meeting of crime cartels in the palace. It’s a bit worrying that no one at the table realises quite what they’re sat on top of…

Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett will be available to stream exclusively on Disney+ from December 29, with LEGO sets rumoured to arrive from March 2022.
