LEGO Harry Potter 40289 Diagon Alley available in the US from November 9
LEGO Harry Potter 40289 Diagon Alley will be available as gift with purchase in US LEGO Stores from November 2.
Recently, official images surfaced showing LEGO Harry Potter 40289 Diagon Alley for the first time. The microscale set will be available for free in the USA with purchases at shop.LEGO.com worth $99 or more, according to the Brick Fan. The promotion will run from November 9 until November 21, and may apply to sets based on the Wizarding World of Harry Potter only.
The 374-piece model seems designed to complement 71043 Hogwarts Castle, the only other LEGO Harry Potter set released in this scale. 40289 Diagon Alley assembles into a street facade, including Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, Gringotts Bank, Quality Quidditch Supplies, Flourish and Blotts and Ollivander’s wand shop. Ollivander himself is included, which means minifigure fans have another Potterverse set to add to the collection.
So far, the set has briefly been available to buy outright for around €40 (£35, $45) in a Certified LEGO Store in Slovenia in August, suggesting it could go on general sale. The US promotion is expected to be reflected at LEGO Stores around the world.
In the meantime, you can get your hands on the rest of the Wizarding World range from shop.LEGO.com right now, including 71043 Hogwarts Castle. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be released in cinemas on November 16.
