WATCH: This LEGO duck is worth over $1000
A 3D-printed LEGO piece is here – and it’s selling for an eye-watering amount. A throwback to the earliest days of the LEGO Group, the little figures are now the subject of a number of online bidding wars.
A number of exclusive LEGO House 3D-printed ducks were handed out at last week’s AFOL Day event at the LEGO House in Billund, Denmark alongside purchases of store-specific minifigures. Inevitably, they’ve already been sold on the LEGO aftermarket – but for astonishingly high prices.
Of course, LEGO fans are collectors by their very nature and getting their hands on what’s potentially the most limited edition piece ever is going to be priceless to many. The duck is modelled after the wooden duck that LEGO founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen designed all the way back in 1935.
Take a look at our most recent YouTube video to see the full range of prices that the little red duck is selling for so far, ranging from remarkably low to shockingly high.
