Three new LEGO Minecraft BrickHeadz 2023 sets revealed
The LEGO Group has published listings for three new Minecraft BrickHeadz sets to the official online store, among which is the theme’s 200th character.
Despite its volume of releases waxing and waning since launching proper in 2017, the BrickHeadz theme is still merrily chugging along on LEGO Store shelves. This year’s line-up includes characters from Star Wars, Disney, The Lord of the Rings and – now – Minecraft, with three new additions from the blocky video game joining the equally-blocky theme.
40624 Alex, 40625 Llama and 40626 Zombie are the first LEGO Minecraft BrickHeadz sets since 2018’s double-pack 41612 Steve & Creeper, and are numbered 199, 200 and 201 respectively. The box art for 40625 Llama includes a gold label around the number 200, but that looks like the only real celebration of the theme’s major milestone.
The sets have not yet appeared on LEGO.com in the UK, US or Europe, so we don’t know exactly how much they’ll retail for, but the safe money is on a price tag of £9.99 / $9.99 / €9.99 apiece. That’s in line with other recent individual BrickHeadz characters like 40615 Tusken Raider and 40539 Ahsoka Tano.

There’s also no release date listed for the sets yet – we can guess April – but we do have piece counts. 40624 Alex includes 86 pieces; 40625 Llama packs in exactly 100 bricks; and 40626 Zombie contains 81 parts. We’ll bring you more concrete details on their release once we have them.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
