An Aladdin LEGO Ideas project is the latest to reach first 2022 review

Disney’s Aladdin animated film turns 30 in 2022, and a LEGO Ideas project celebrating the anniversary has reached 10K supporters.

LEGO Ideas user Lud985 is now the latest member of 10K club as their Aladdin: Friend Like Me (30th Anniversary Special) based on the musical number of the same name is the most recent entry into the first 2022 review round.

Recreating the animated sequence featuring a huge model of the Genie, minifigures for the main and supporting cast are proposed as inclusions, with the last minifigures based on Aladdin appearing in the 71012 Disney Collectible Minifigures Series in 2016.

While the movie has been continuously represented with mini-dolls and models in the LEGO Disney theme since then, this project might usher in another chance to get minifigures based on the movie, provided it succeeds in the first 2022 review round.
