Alternative LEGO Ideas university model proposed for a set

Though a university modular model has yet to be picked for an official set, an alternate take on universities could be a future LEGO Ideas set.

LEGO Ideas review rounds have been home to university submissions previously but 2PPL‘s project proposes a different part of university life with a set of student dorms, a cafe and more. This model has just passed into the second 2024 review round, giving it a chance to become an official LEGO Ideas set in the future.

Modular creations haven’t had the best luck on LEGO Ideas so far but a modular botanical garden was approved for a model, so it’s evidently not impossible for them to be picked.

This modular model includes a dormitory with plenty of space for students, a cafe with a stage, an observatory and an artistic laboratory as well as a passageway to add an interesting aspect to your street.

Six minifigures and a LEGO scooter are proposed to be included and the design of the build is different to previous official modular buildings with its multi-level structure. It joins five other submissions in the second 2024 review as the latest round continues.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
