Bethesda’s Indiana Jones game isn’t coming to PlayStation

It’s been a while since the announcement of Bethesda’s Indiana Jones game. However, an ongoing hearing has confirmed more details for the title.

As part of the ongoing FTC hearing regarding the acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft, head of publishing at Bethesda Softworks Pete Hines has confirmed that the upcoming Indiana Jones game will be exclusive to Xbox on consoles and come to PC, as reported by Eurogamer.

It was also stated that a multi-console deal was in place, but this was amended following the company’s acquisition by Microsoft in 2021.

Given Indiana Jones’ penchant for recovering ancient artefacts, the now-Xbox exclusive could rival PlayStation’s Uncharted franchise, though with no idea of what the gameplay, it’s likely too early to say for certain.

The announcement comes from before the recent return of LEGO Indiana Jones as we approach release day for the fifth film on June 28, 2023. It has not yet been confirmed when we can expect to see the game, so it may be a few years off at the time of writing.

Three Indiana Jones LEGO models are now available ready for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny next week.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
