Brick-built trainer reaches first 2022 LEGO Ideas review

A LEGO Ideas project proposing a second pair of brick-built shoes is in the first 2022 review, from a user who already has a model in the round.

Legotruman now has two LEGO Ideas submissions in the first 2022 review phase, with LEGO Koala reaching 10K supporters in January 2022. Now, Air Jordan 1 is their second model to potentially be transformed into an official set as it too passes into the most recent review round.

The LEGO Group already has experience with brick-built shoes thanks to the release of 10282 Adidas Originals Superstar in 2021. Elements of that design are included in the build, though lacks real shoelaces opting for bricks instead. The description notes that each shoe is made of 286 pieces for a total of 572, smaller than the 731 elements in 10282 Adidas Originals Superstar.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
