LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’s hubs offer unique experiences for every player

The sheer number of hubs available in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga could give every player their own journey through the game.

Despite the game recently being pushed back, the amount of open-world gameplay should hopefully make the game worth the wait. It’s set to be one of the biggest LEGO games from any of the franchises, with a literal galaxy full of hubs. Practically every key star, planet, and ship known to Star Wars fans will get its own hub – and that’s just the beginning.

Game developers have already confirmed that these free-roaming areas in past games will not only give players a taste of lesser-seen areas, but also expose them to dynamic events and random encounters. One example already given is a surprise attack from an Imperial Star Destroyer, designed to keep players on their toes.

Aside from the gameplay, the hubs for planets like Exegol and Mustafar allow players to experience certain locations that only get touched upon during the films. While watching Rey, Kylo Ren, and Palpatine face each other down in Exegol, we’re all probably too busy admiring Kylo’s lightsabre skills to take in the background.

In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, you’ll be able to explore the planet without a galaxy-shattering battle going on. The same goes for Mustafar and any other locations that only feature in the films as a backdrop to a more dramatic sequence.
