LEGO Fortnite confirmed to include over 1,200 minifigure outfits

The forthcoming LEGO Fortnite update will allow players to customise their minifigure characters, with over 1,200 outfits officially confirmed.

Yesterday’s Big Bang live event saw the island world of Fortnite turned on its head once again, with players witnessing not only Eminem performing a concert and transforming into a flame-spewing giant, but also multiple worlds that will be making their debut in the weeks to come. Included in the realms that were glimpsed is an new LEGO-based survival crafting adventure that will launch on December 7 for all players.

In addition to the new mode, Epic Games has now confirmed that the LEGO Fortnite experience will also come with over 1,200 outfits available for minifigure customisation. The v28.00 update features LEGO Styles, which effectively transforms existing Fortnite skins into minifigure versions. Players who log on to the game from December 7 will discover the outfits have automatically been added to their Locker at no additional cost, along with a number of existing Emotes.

Outfits that have a LEGO Style can be viewed via the Outfit’s detail page or by browsing the Shop and Locker. Epic Games has also confirmed that new LEGO Styles will be added often, giving players even more of an incentive to check out Fortnite on a regular basis.

An official landing page has now been launched for the LEGO Fortnite update and can be accessed right here. A short video on the site shows numerous fan-favourite Fortnite characters being transformed into minifigures such as Fishsticks, Brite Bomber, Tomatohead, Peely, Sparkplug, Red Knight and more.

The LEGO Fortnite landing page also gives clear instructions for how to link your LEGO Insiders and Epic Games accounts and states that once done, players will be rewarded with a special Explorer Emilie Fortnite Outfit on December 7.

More details of the LEGO Fortnite experience will be revealed next week, once the latest update to the game goes live for all players worldwide.
