LEGO Harry Potter fans fix their biggest gripe with Gringotts Bank

LEGO Harry Potter fans have found a solution to a sticker-based gripe with 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank – Collectors’ Edition.

Stickers are an ever-present complaint among many LEGO fans, due to their fiddly nature and the general preference for printed elements. Of course, not every element can be printed and stickers can also tell their own fun stories through the talent of the LEGO Group’s graphic designers.

However, one alignment issue in particular from 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank – Collectors’ Edition has sparked some complaints: the spacing between the two T’s in ‘Gringotts’. Due to the curved nature of the front of the bank, it requires two stickers, leaving a gap in between the two T’s where it should be one smooth word.

It’s certainly a disappointing inclusion for such an expensive set but, as we point out in our review, it doesn’t take away from the overall strong impression of the set. Still, it does seem easily avoidable by simply trimming off the white border around the edge of the sticker. So easy, in fact, that a fan has taken things into their own hands.

While you can still see a slight line in between the two stickers, it looks much neater. After all, from afar, without the noticeable gap between the two T’s, no one will likely be looking that closely at the stickers anyway.

the tell tale gap could be avoided by trimming one sticker and overlaying on the excess of the other.
this would give one continuous sticker which would be more aesthetically pleasing.
alternatively await the creative replacements that will appear on Etsy sometime soon.
