New LEGO Harry Potter rumours – Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes and a new Hogwarts Express
According to the latest rumours, it looks like fans may be getting two new LEGO Harry Potter themed sets in June of Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes and a new Hogwarts Express.
As rumoured by brick_clicker on Instagram, the first new set that may be on the way is 76422 Diagon Alley: Weasleys’ Wizarding Wheezes, which is said to be coming in at $89.99, with 834 pieces in the set. So far, LEGO Harry Potter already has 75978 Diagon Alley available from 2020, with that set already including Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, the joke shop run by the Weasley twins.
It’s unclear at the moment exactly how different this new set will be compared to what’s already available. However, the new set is likely to be a lot smaller than the one in 75978, based on piece count alone.
In other LEGO Harry Potter news, it appears fans may potentially be getting a new Hogwarts Express set, named very straightforwardly as 76423 Hogwarts Express & Hogsmeade Station. Currently, the 18+ set of 76405 Hogwarts Express Collector’s Edition from 2022 is available for anyone who’s a fan of the train, but it seems that the new rumoured train would be aiming for perhaps a younger audience.
Another version of the train, 75955 Hogwarts Express, was launched in 2018, and was based at King’s Cross. The rumoured new set (as the name suggests) has the setting of Hogsmeade Station, and is said to be coming in with 1,074 pieces at $129.99. So far we don’t have any news about which potential minifigures could be included in this set.
Other rumoured LEGO Harry Potter sets coming in this year also include a potential LEGO 76417 Gringotts Bank, but again all rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt as nothing has actually been confirmed yet by the LEGO Group.
