LEGO Masters USA judge teams up with Girl Scouts USA

Brickmaster Amy Corbett from LEGO Masters USA is hosting a free virtual event with Girl Scouts USA.

The event, Girl Scouts Build the Change, will seek to encourage young girls to unleash their creativity and explore engineering for the environment. The free virtual session will be led by Brickmaster Amy and LEGO Play Agent David Pallash for girls in grade four and five in the United States, plus one friend.

The participants will be able to complete a hands-on activity from Girl Scouts’ Think Like An Engineer Journey and be introduced to the LEGO Group’s Build the Change online portal.

To do so, each girl will need a doll or figurine, index cards, 16 wooden dowels, four plastic bags, scissors, duct tape, string, paper, and pencil. If possible, they should also bring water and a fan, to simulate the elements, and LEGO bricks, to add some creative flair to their creations.

The LEGO Group regularly runs similar events and activities as part of its Build the Change initiative, with the most recent batch of new challenges released in April.

The event will run for one hour on June 26 from 2:30pm ET. You can reserve your place online via the official event page.
