LEGO Star Wars Yavin IV Rebel Base set rumoured for 2023
A fresh rumour regarding a potential LEGO Star Wars Yavin IV Rebel Base has emerged once again, with the set now said to be arriving in 2023.
We first heard rumours of a potential LEGO Star Wars Yavin IV Rebel Base back in mid-March 2022, with what was reported to be a $529.99 Master Builder Series model. However, the possibility of the first-ever version of the iconic location from A New Hope and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was soon debunked, along with many other such fake stories.
Part of what made that rumour so exciting is that the Yavin IV Rebel Base has never been recreated in brick-based form, other than a prototype build included in the LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary in 2009, shown in the image below.
That could all be set to change though, as a fresh rumour has emerged from an alternate source that kicks off yet another round of speculation. Instagram-user brick_clicker is reporting that 75365 Yavin IV Rebel Base is on its way on August 1, 2023, with a potential price point of $159.99. The model is said to be a 1,067-piece build that could include a Y-wing Microfighter, watchtower and a 360 degree ‘tall and open playset.’ The latest details match some of the previous information included in the table below, with a set numbered 75365 originally said to be arriving ‘Summer 2023.’
In addition, the rumour also suggests that 75365 Yavin IV Rebel Base may come with 12 or more minifigures. There are no details regarding exactly which characters might be featured, but wish fulfilment on our part would hope that ceremonial versions of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia would certainly make sense.
As usual with all rumours, there has been no confirmation from the LEGO Group regarding any such set, so do treat this information with plenty of scepticism for now.
