Retailer confirms LEGO Wall Art sets

The new rumoured theme, LEGO Wall Art, seems all the more likely now that a retailer has listed the set names and numbers.

Back in January, Brick Fanatics shared news that a new adult-targeted theme is on the way, which seems to be based around big mosaics to be hung on a wall. News then emerged that the name for the theme may be LEGO Wall Art.

Automodely has now listed four sets with matching numbers to those that have previously been rumoured. Here they are, as named on the website:

31197 Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe
31198 The Beatles
31199 Iron Man of Marvel
31200 Star Wars – Sith

Brick Fanatics understands than 31200 will be a portrait of Darth Maul. Automodely uses the theme’s codename, ‘Zebra’, so does not provide any confirmation of whether or not it will indeed be titled ‘Wall Art’. The price is listed at €124.38, suggesting they will be around the £100/$100 mark.

Here are the expected piece counts:

31197 Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe – 3,341 pieces
31198 The Beatles – 2,933 pieces
31199 Marvel – Iron Man – 3,406 pieces
31200 Star Wars – Darth Maul – 3,167 pieces

As with other recent releases for adult fans, the sets are expected to be marked as 18+.

Given that the LEGO Group commented earlier this year on new luxury packaging for adult orientated themes, these can be expected to come in the new, black box design.

Until there is any official announcement or comment from the LEGO Group, rumours shold be treated as just that.
