Rumoured LEGO Marvel Wolverine minifigure detailed

A detailed description of the rumoured LEGO Marvel Wolverine 2022 minifigure has surfaced online, indicating that the mask may not return.

Lego_club_news on Instagram is reporting to have a description of the 2022 LEGO Wolverine minifigure, detailing what we might be able to expect to see in the rumoured 76202 Wolverine Mech set.

According to the user, the 2022 LEGO Wolverine minifigure is said to resemble his 2012 appearance as seen in 6866 Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown. In the original set, the mutant superhero was seen in a yellow and dark blue costume, with the lack of a mask allowing the hair and face to be seen. A later appearance of the character in 76022 X-Men vs. The Sentinel did include a new brick for the mask.

The Instagram user states that as well as the lack of a cowl, the costume will be based on the comics and include the same hair piece last seen in 76073 Mighty Micros: Wolverine vs. Magneto in 2017.

As usual, treat these details with caution until the LEGO Group officially confirms, or denies them. Currently, nothing is known regarding LEGO Marvel next year.

This is far from the only rumour for LEGO Marvel in 2022, with Marvel Cinematic Universe models for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Thor: Love and Thunder as well as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness also reported for release. The Infinity Saga subtheme is also said to continue with a build recreating Iron Man’s Mark 43 armour.
