New Sonic Dash in-game event adds LEGO minifigure characters

A trio of familiar LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog minifigure characters have now been added to the latest Sonic Dash in-game event.

The full LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog theme recently launched on August 1, with five sets featuring SEGA’s iconic character now available. In addition, a pair of BrickHeadz models will be arriving next month in the shape of 40627 Sonic the Hedgehog and 40628 Miles “Tails” Prower, plus rumours suggest even more builds based around the blue blur may launch in early 2024.

The good news for fans of the spiky hero is that the Sonic Dash mobile title is also getting in on the action, with a new in-game event having now launched. The endless runner is available to download for free on iOS and Android devices, with multiple characters to play as and fast fingers required to clock up a decent score.

In addition, Sonic Dash’s all-new Card system now allows players to unlock LEGO minifigures of Sonic, Tails and Amy, with the event running until August 15. To add the familiar faces to your collection, just look out for the character cards on each course and make sure to run through them in order to pick them up.

Special LEGO bricks can also be collected during the event and if you manage to grab four such items each day, you’ll get in-game prizes to help you upgrade your characters’ abilities. There’s no word yet on if you’ll get to keep the LEGO minifigure versions of Sonic, Tails and Amy once the event has ended, but we suspect that will probably be the case.

Sonic Forces Mobile recently added LEGO versions of Sonic, Tails, Amy and Dr. Eggman to its line-up of selectable characters, while the upcoming Sonic Superstars will also feature a selection of LEGO Sonic-related bonus content.
