Life-size Star Wars: A New Hope C-3PO head can be yours for £1 million
Fans will soon have their chance to bid on a life-size C-3PO head prop from Star Wars: A New Hope that’s been valued at £1 million.
Everyone’s favourite fussy protocol droid recently made a surprise guest appearance in Star Wars Ahsoka, popping up in episode 7 to convey a message of support for General Hera Syndula from none-other than an off-screen Princess Leia herself.

Many fans will no doubt have been pleased to see a familiar face from the original trilogy in the Disney+ show, which has just completed its first season run. The good news for those who rank C-3PO as one of their top Star Wars characters is that an upcoming Propstore auction will see the head of the hapless droid up for grabs, with the pop culture prop expect to fetch £1 million or more.
The independent has more details of the event, which is scheduled to take place in London from November 9-12 and will feature more than 1,800 pieces of movie and TV memorabilia going under the hammer. The C-3PO head comes straight from the personal collection of actor Anthony Daniels himself and is a screen-matched, light-up prop that he wore in Star Wars: A New Hope.
“I’m thrilled that Propstore has agreed to curate my collection and I trust that the pieces will go into the right hands,” said Daniels. “I hope this can bring pleasure to Star Wars fans and collectors all around the world and give them a chance to own a piece of the real thing.”
Additional items up for grabs in the auction include Steve Rogers’ shield from Captain America: The First Avenger, a bullwhip from the Indiana Jones franchise and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Jack Dawson costume from Titanic.
Those looking to pick up a much cheaper version of the protocol droid’s head can always purchase the latest issue of LEGO Star Wars magazine. The publication has reached its centenary this month and includes a free C-3PO minifigure, plus an exclusive Gonk Droid build, all for just £4.99.
