Ten LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian sets we still need, according to our readers

We asked what LEGO Star Wars sets you still want to see based on The Mandalorian Season 3 – and you all delivered.

As the third season of The Mandalorian reached its climax in the finale, the LEGO Group has confirmed that the door is very much open for more sets, saying that the whole team is ‘inspired’ by the events of the final episodes. With that in mind, we asked our readers on Instagram and Facebook what scenes and moments you still want to see in LEGO sets.

There were plenty of great suggestions, including several minifigures that fans want to see, including Paz Viszla and updated minifigures for Moff Gideon and Greef Karga, reflecting their new outfits in Season 3 of the live-action Star Wars show. Here’s a summary of some suggested inspiration for the future of the LEGO Star Wars theme. If you’ve got any more ideas, leave them in the comments below!

Warning: spoilers ahead for all of The Mandalorian Season 3.

10 – Moff Gideon’s Clone Tubes

Moff Gideon’s clones were disposed of in a satisfying explosion at the hands of Din Djarin, triggering the climactic fight between Din, Grogu, Bo Katan, and Gideon that rounded out the final episode of the season. Getting the corridor lined with tubes could be the basis of an interactive set where you can trigger a mechanism to send the tubes flying.

The only downside of this set is that you’d have a lot of duplicate minifigures, or at the very least duplicate minifigure torsos and heads contained within the tubes.

9 – Moff Gideon’s Helmet

By the very nature of The Mandalorian, there are plenty of helmets we’d love to see added to the LEGO Star Wars helmet collection but chief among them is, of course, Moff Gideon’s beskar helmet. With red detail and beskar horns, it would make for an impressive addition to the collection.

Special mention should also go to the Armourer, Paz Viszla, and Bo Katan, all of whom have unique helmets that we’d love to see the LEGO Group tackle.

8 – Din Djarin and Grogu’s Home on Nevarro

Who didn’t shed a small tear at watching Din Djarin kick back in front of his cabin, watching his son Din Grogu play in the river?

We wholeheartedly agree with this suggestion for a set based on the cabin on Nevarro, complete with Din’s bench and Grogu’s frog (aka their two favourite things in life).

7 – Grogu’s Rescue

Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni can’t seem to help themselves from returning to Order 66. In a traumatic flashback from Grogu, we see Kelleran Beq whisk the younglings away on a speeder, evading the Clones and transferring him to a Naboo Royal Space Fighter and a troop of Royal Guards. As suggested by one of our readers, a set perhaps in the style of 75347 TIE Bomber or a diorama would be an excellent way of immortalising this vital moment of Grogu’s history.

6 – Kryze Castle

As epic Star Wars structures go, Kryze Castle is one of the most imposing. Most large LEGO Star Wars sets are based on ships, so it would be fantastic to see a brick-built version of the angular fortress. Inside, the throne room and Bo Katan’s uncomfortable-looking chair would make for an impressive interior if the LEGO Group didn’t want to go all in on a full building.

5 – Mandalorian Base on Nevarro

The scene of the Mandalorians finally uniting was an emotional one for many. Surrounded by ships and featuring more Mandalorian minifigures than ever, this would certainly be a welcome addition to the LEGO Star Wars theme. The only issue would be on what to include, as the sprawling camp is hard to pin down to singular structures.

4 – Gorian Shard’s Corsair

Image: Disney/Lucasfilm

Part spaceship, part pirate ship, Gorian Shard’s Corsair has a unique silhouette with its hooked nose and domed control centre. This would also be a great opportunity to get Shard himself as a minifigure, in all his moss-faced glory.

3 – Abandoned Star Destroyer Lab

While Kane and Pershing’s escapades on Coruscant might have been a bit of a departure from the rest of the Mandalorian-focused season, it did give us a peek at what became of Imperial machinery after the events of the original trilogy. A brick-built replica of the abandoned lab and dilapidated halls of the old Star Destroyer would certainly be an interesting project, perhaps best explored in a diorama build.

2 – Imperial Base on Mandalore

Another reader suggested a set in the same style as 7754 Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser, but this time portraying the Imperial base on Mandalore. It could include a launch base for TIE Bombers, Gideon’s clone pods, a cliff platform for Bo-Katan, Din Djarin, and Moff Gideon to battle on, and hologram microfigures to represent the Imperial Shadow Council.

1 – UCS The Gauntlet

Image: Disney/Lucasfilm

We’ve already had one LEGO Star Wars UCS set based on The Mandalorian, so why not another? Bo Katan-Kryze’s iconic Gauntlet would make for a fantastic display model, complete with the recent and well-loved Bo Katan minifigure. As the vehicle of choice of the Mandalorian leader, it deserves its place among the range of iconic LEGO Star Wars sets.
