Unikitty! animated LEGO series cancelled
There will be no Season 3 of Unikitty!, as Carton Network has opted not to renew the animated LEGO television series.
One of many strange characters in The LEGO Movie has enjoyed 70 episodes of animated television, with Unikitty! having aired for two seasons on Cartoon Network. The Brick Fan reports a tweet that covers voice actor Tara Strong confirming that the series has not been renewed for a third season.
The team behind the series were passionate for the project, sharing artwork on social media that revealed an insight into the show’s development. For the animated show, they introduced new characters including Prince Puppycorn and Hawkodile.
While the Unikitty! theme may have finished, the character is appearing this year as one of Hallmark’s festive ornaments.
Brick Fanatics Magazine Issue 2 reveals how the character became the unicorn-cat that fans know and love in an exclusive feature with Matthew Ashton. The magazine is available for purchase in single copies (plus a postage and packaging charge) or as part of a 12-issue or 24-issue subscription, at a discounted rate, with free postage and packaging.
