Disney+ UK launch date confirmed

Disney has confirmed that UK audiences will be able to enjoy Disney+ from March 31.

The new streaming service from Disney, Disney+, has been available in the USA since November, with fans elsewhere patiently waiting to start watching. A mailshot from Disney has confirmed that the service will start streaming on March 31, but there is no information yet on what the monthly cost will be.

Original content that will be available includes Star Wars: The Mandalorian and new episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Two LEGO sets have been released based on Star Wars: The Mandalorian, 75267 Mandalorian Battle Pack (review) and 75254 AT-ST Raider (review).

There are plenty of series and movies beyond Star Wars available on the streaming service, with many tying into LEGO products released over the years thanks to the long-standing partnership between the LEGO Group and Disney. As well as the classic Disney stories, the libraries Marvel, Pixar, Fox and Lucasfilm have been perused to fill the streaming service with a mix of comedy, drama, animation and documentaries.
