LEGO Art sets launch in the USA

The new LEGO Art theme, featuring Star Wars, Marvel, Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe and The Beatles, is available now to fans in the US.

After having to watch fans in Europe place thousand of 1×1 tiles and studs for a few weeks, US collectors can now order LEGO Art sets at LEGO.com. Four sets are available – 31197 Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe, 31198 The Beatles, 31199 Marvel Studios Iron Man and 31200 Star Wars The Sith.

Each set measures 15.5” (40cm) square and is priced at $119.99.

Each set can be reconfigured in different ways; the Iron Man set offers three alternate depictions of the character, the Star Wars set can be built as Darth Vader, Darth Maul or Kylo Ren, the Andy Warhol set can be built in four different colour configurations and The Beatles set can be changed into any of the four band members.

“With these wider ranging designs, we believe that we can inspire film fans, music lovers and art and design aficionados to immerse themselves in a world of art and creativity linked to their idols,” said Louise Elizabeth Bontoft, Senior Design Director, when the sets were announced. “Through this new experience, we believe adults can unwind, engage in a mindful building activity and ultimately create a beautiful piece of wall art that perfectly reflects their personality.”
