LEGO bring back Build To Give for the sixth year

You can help a child in need with the Build To Give programme, now in its sixth year, as LEGO aims to give away two million sets.

For the past few years, the LEGO Group has run the Build To Give programme in the run up to Christmas, and it’s just been launched for the sixth time. It’s a simple concept. You build something – could be an epic design, could be something simple from just a handful of bricks, and then share it.

Put a picture of your creation onto social media, using the hashtag #BuildToGive, and the LEGO Group will donate a set to a child in need of play. You can find more details on the BuildToGive page of the LEGO website.

As the page says, “For every Holiday creation shared before 31 December, the LEGO Group will donate a LEGO set to a child in need of play, giving up to two million children in hospitals, children’s homes or vulnerable communities globally the chance to play this Holiday season.”

Since the initiative was launched in 2016, the LEGO Group have donated more than 4.5 million sets to children around the world, and it is hoping to make this the biggest year so far, with the aim of reaching the two million sets donated mark. So if you have some bricks to hand, get creative, post your design online with the #BuildToGive tag and make a difference to a child somewhere on the planet.
