LEGO Ideas contest reveals 40448 Vintage Car

A new LEGO Ideas contest has officially revealed the long-awaited 40448 Vintage Car set as part of its grand prize.

A new LEGO Ideas contest has finally revealed the new 40448 Vintage Car set, which depicts a classic American vehicle with two included minifigures. The new set has been confirmed since it won the vote in the LEGO Ideas vintage car contest.

The first look at the set came when an image of the box was discovered in the LEGO Group’s legal certification database. Then it was rumoured to be offered as a gift with purchase at the start of January, before finally being spotted in a LEGO store.

The set includes a blue car with two minifigures, hanging surfboards at the side to give a unique design to the model and an appearance generally true to the original contest submission.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
