LEGO Star Wars 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers set revealed

A new LEGO Star Wars set has been revealed – 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers.

The LEGO Group has revealed a brand new LEGO Star Wars set, 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers. The set uses 285 pieces and will launch on August 1, priced at £24.99.

75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers includes elements to build an AT-RT and Speeder Bike in the distinctive colour scheme of Anakin Skywalker’s 501st troopers. Four Clone Trooper minifigures are included along with two Battle Droids.

The AT-RT is similar to the once included in 75261 Clone Scout Walker – 20th Anniversary Edition (review). Given all of the trans-red studs in the set, it looks like there will be plenty of stud shooter elements included.

501st troopers appear in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, storming the Jedi Temple during Order 66. They also feature in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, led by Captain Rex.

Three new LEGO Star Wars sets were recently announced and are open for pre-orders now – 75277 Boba Fett Helmet, 75276 Stormtrooper Helmet and 75274 TIE Fighter Pilot Helmet.
