New LEGO Store minifigures include skeleton pirate, unicorn knight and more

The latest batch of Build-a-Minifigure characters are available in LEGO Stores now, with a skeleton pirate, unicorn knight and more in the mix.

Six brand new minifigures are now available to assemble at Build-a-Minifigure stations in LEGO Stores, with a couple featuring new or recoloured elements, heads, torsos and legs. Promobricks has picked up all six new minifigures and given us a solid glimpse at them in the flesh, which should hopefully allow you to better plan your next visit to the LEGO Store.

The highlights for most of us will likely be the unicorn-headed Lion Knight, which repurposes a headpiece from LEGO VIDIYO, and the skeleton pirate, which includes a brand new and exclusive torso. Both would make fine (if fantastical) additions to the likes of 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle and 21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay, and – hopefully – the rumoured 10320 Eldorado Fortress.

Also available in this batch are an ice cream cone character – originally spotted in 60314 Ice Cream Truck Police Chase – and a beach-ready kid who reuses the duck-tattooed torso from 60333 Bathtub Stunt Bike. (Are kids allowed to have tattoos in LEGO City?) Neither of these minifigures appears to include brand new parts, but they do offer an easier way to pick up otherwise set-limited pieces.

The selection is rounded out by a policewoman in a diver’s outfit, who includes a torso otherwise found in 60277 Police Patrol Boat and 60355 Water Police Detective Missions, and a gamer girl with a pink sweater/dress combo. All six of these characters are available at Build-a-Minifigure stations in LEGO Stores around the world now.

Jay’s Brick Blog reports that a previous Build-a-Minifigure character, a blue wizard, has also returned this month after originally debuting in 2022, though your mileage may vary on that one.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
