Two retiring LEGO Creator Expert sets are available to order again

Two LEGO Creator Expert sets due to retire by the end of 2021 are back and available to order in the UK.

According to Brick Fanatics’ sources, both 10261 Roller Coaster and 10264 Corner Garage will leave shelves by December 31, which really means they could vanish from LEGO.com at any point between now and the end of the year.

Problematically for those hoping to snag them before they leave, however, they’ve been temporarily out of stock at the official online store – at least in the UK – for the past few weeks. Happily, both Creator Expert sets are now available on back order, with a shipping date of September 3.

Grabbing the enormous Fairground Collection ride will also currently earn you a tempting LEGO Ideas gift-with-purchase in the form of 40487 Sailboat Adventure, which is free with orders above £200 until August 29. 10264 Corner Garage won’t quite hit that threshold, but it will take you most of the way there. If you’re reading this from the US, it’s a mixed bag of news: 10261 Roller Coaster is available to ship right now, but 10264 Corner Garage is still temporarily out of stock. If you’re angling to complete your modular building collection with 2019’s ‘50s-inspired garage and vet’s office, sign up to our stock alerts and we’ll let you know if and when it comes back.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
