Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3 trailer includes rare minifigures

The brand-new trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 trailer might spark interest in a couple of rare LEGO Star Wars minifigures.

As reported in our initial breakdown of the third season’s trailer, a white protocol droid appears at the entrance to Nevarro. While there are few protocol droids in the current LEGO Star Wars minifigure line-up, a white version has appeared in minifigure form before.

7666 Hoth Rebel Base from 2007 included the limited-edition K-3PO and while this isn’t confirmed to be the exact same protocol droid, there are similarities in their appearance. Should you wish you completely recreate this scene, it’s likely going to be the best minifigure for the job. For those without the model, it’s currently going for just under £20 new, or over £6 used on BrickLink

Moments later in the trailer, a Kowakian monkey-lizard is featured. This creature also has a minifigure thanks to Salacious B. Crumb in the classic 9516 Jabba’s Palace. With that set being the last appearance of a few minifigures, the price of this minifigure on Bricklink is just under £40 new and under £30 used.

It seems unlikely that either of these characters will be prominently featured outside of Nevarro in The Mandalorian Season 3, not like 75325 The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter and most of its minifigures.

The third season of The Mandalorian starts streaming on March 1, 2023, on Disney+. The trailer also features what could be the source material for a rumoured LEGO Star Wars set.
