Trailers to look out for at Super Bowl LVII for Marvel, DC and more
Confirmed and reported trailers for the upcoming Super Bowl include some for Marvel, DC, Disney and more, offering an idea of what to look for.
With coverage starting today, February 12, 2023, at 10:00pm GMT, the annual Super Bowl tends to be a good source of trailers for upcoming movies. The 57th Super Bowl may be worth watching thanks to this, even for those with little interest in sports.
For instance, the 2022 Super Bowl featured a trailer for Jurassic World: Dominion, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Moon Knight.
While not all these projects received LEGO sets, the 2023 event could still be a good source of fresh footage for movie enthusiasts. With that in mind, here are some confirmed and rumoured trailers for the 57th Super Bowl that may be of interest to LEGO enthusiasts.
5 – Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
As reported by Deadline, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled to have a place in the Super Bowl adverts.
However, with less than a week until its release on February 17, there may not be much more to showcase while avoiding spoilers for major story elements.
4 – The Flash
Following a string of arrests, charges and controversies that have led to lead actor Ezra Miller seeking professional help, The Flash’s first trailer has been confirmed for the 2023 Super Bowl after an initial teaser at DC FanDome 2021.
A new poster has been made available as part of the announcement. A listing for a model that may be based on the film, featuring Batman and The Flash in the set name, surfaced in 2022.
3 – Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
Something new for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has been officially confirmed just before the game starts on February 12, 2023.
With an official LEGO Transformers model now available in the form of 10302 Optimus Prime and the Autobot leader featuring in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, it could be worth watching the trailer, at least to help pass the time until the film later this year.
2 – Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
According to the report from Deadline at the start of February, an advert for Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 is reportedly set to release during the Super Bowl. Whether this is a full trailer or a shorter TV spot has not been confirmed.
Rumours for two sets based on the film have been previously reported but there’s also a confirmed Guardians of the Galaxy model due in April with 76251 Star-Lord’s Helmet launching just over a month before the sequel’s arrival on May 5, 2023.
1 – The Marvels
As the third film due in Phase Five, Deadline’s report also states that The Marvels’ first trailer could release during the Super Bowl.
Featuring Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau, The Marvels is currently scheduled to arrive on July 28, 2023, with a LEGO set rumoured for it too.
