Winners of LEGO Ideas Avatar challenge announced
The grand prize winner and runners-up for the LEGO Ideas Avatar challenge have been announced, earning them a bumper pack of Avatar-themed prizes.
The latest LEGO Ideas challenge was centred around Avatar, asking builders to submit physical or digital creations exploring the landscapes and nature of the fictional world of Pandora. The grand prize up for grabs includes every single LEGO Avatar set released so far, including five new models that launched on January 1, 2023 and a ton of Avatar merch like books and clothing. In addition, two runners-up will also receive their own bundle of Avatar goodies.
Now that it’s time to announce the winners, LEGO Ideas has revealed that Night Time by Ymari came out on top as the Grand Prize Winner. The diorama-style build shows Pandora at night time, lit up by the planet’s bioluminescent flora and fauna.
While Ymari will be taking home the grand prize, two runners-up will also be recognised for their designs. The Habitat of the Hammerhead Titanother by Hunter of the Lost Bricks and Exploring Pandora by TheBrickBang. The former digs into the specific ecosystem of one Pandora’s largest creatures, while the other shows Jake and Neytiri on one of their explorative journeys across the planet.
There’s no word yet on the next LEGO Ideas challenge, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated when there is.
