Check out 469 LEGO Lord of the Rings creations submitted to the latest Ideas contest

Intake has closed on the latest LEGO Ideas challenge, where users have submitted a huge number of Lord of the Rings builds for a chance to win a free signed LEGO set.

This challenge, called Exploring the World of Middle-Earth, asks fans what stories, moments or locations from the books and films could be immortalised using lego bricks – and the LEGO Ideas community has come out in full force to show off their building prowess. There are 469 total entries across two categories (locations and scenes), and only one winner and one runner-up will be selected for each category.

You can take a look at all of the incredible entries here. The panel of judges, made up of members of the official LEGO Lord of the Rings team, will be selecting winners from among these entries to receive signed copies of 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell as well as a prize package of LotR-themed goodies. Runners-up will receive an unsigned copy of 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell. Winners will be announced on the LEGO Ideas blog on May 2.

The judges’ criteria for selecting a winner uses four categories, each with a 25% weight on the final decision: overall coolness and originality, most inspired details, relevance to contest theme, and best use of LEGO elements. With the criteria in mind, which of the large number of entries do you think deserves to win?
