LEGO minifigures could soon be able to upgrade to a Tesla

The latest LEGO Ideas submission to hit 10,000 supporters offers some electric luxury to the world of brick-built vehicles.

Elon Musk made Tesla the face of electric cars and now his vision could be coming to LEGO as well. Thanks to a design from Airbricks95, Tesla Center is one step closer to becoming a real LEGO Ideas set, after gaining 10,000 supporters. The would-be model includes the building itself, complete with charging stations and a space to personalise the four buildable cars that are also featured.

The set itself is compatible with Modular Buildings, so you could easily integrate Tesla Center into an existing LEGO street. The four included cars are a Model Y, two Model S, and a Cybertruck, showcasing a variety of the electric-powered vehicles that Tesla produces.

Of course, the fate of Tesla Center is not yet certain. It’s up to the LEGO Ideas team to now review it and decide whether it could become a real set, available to buy on shelves. With the current review stage scheduled to end at the end of this year, it’ll be a while until we know which sets have made it. For now, here’s a reminder of which sets have already qualified for the final review stage of 2023.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.

Tesla is already under license with MEGA/Mattel for the Tesla CyberTruck set (MEGA Construx brand)

Good point, I wonder if this project will be removed from the review round soon in that case.
