LEGO bigfigs rumoured to make a long-awaited return in new Sonic the Hedgehog sets

Details on some of the minifigures available in the rumoured Sonic the Hedgehog theme releasing this summer have emerged, including the first non-dinosaur bigfig since 2021.

According to Instagram user 1414falconfan (via reddit user FluffySky6), the upcoming Sonic theme will feature minifigures for at least Sonic and Tails, as well as a new bigfig mould for Doctor Eggman. These were the only figures the source could confirm, but they’ve stated that other figures are also likely to be included in the wave of five sets.

Bigfigs have been absent from LEGO Buy at Buy at Buy at Buy at sets for some time now, with the last one appearing in 76192 Avengers: Endgame Final Battle from 2021. Characters who traditionally were represented by bigfigs like Hulk or Thanos have recently appeared only as minifigures. Some fans feared this classic large style of minifigure was gone for good, but it’s nice to know that it could be coming back.

This rumour comes hot on the tail of another LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog rumour that turned out to be false, which serves as a reminder to always remain sceptical about these reports.
