In 2023, a project based on the Outer Wilds video game was removed from the first 2023 LEGO Ideas review for reasons that were not disclosed publically. Now, a successful LEGO Ideas user is given the game another chance at a LEGO set for the first 2024 review.
Minibrick Productions already has an Interstellar project in the review round and
The projects are similar, both depicting a spaceship from the exploration-based game but the newer iteration adds some accessories and landscaping. Whether that will be enough to circumvent the issue that the 2023 project faced is unknown.
For now, it joins the first 2024 LEGO Ideas review, which consists of a varied selection of projects based on series, movies, plants and more.
