See inside LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’s deluxe edition steelbook
A video game magazine has revealed the interior of the steelbook case for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
We’ve already seen the exterior of the steelbook case, which comes exclusively with the deluxe edition of the highly-anticipated game and resembles Han Solo in Carbonite. (Because why would you put a Skywalker on the front of your Skywalker Saga steelbook?)
This is the first time we’ve seen inside the limited-edition packaging, though, and it’s… well, not super exciting. In fact, it’s basically just the standard artwork you’ll find on every other version of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and while it’s nice enough, what would have been even nicer is a continuation of the steelbook’s exterior design.
The image apparently comes from a GAME magazine focusing on pre-orders for games releasing from January to June 2021. That’s not really any major indication that the game is coming out before June, though – the mag could easily be going on old news, as we’ve known about its supposed spring launch window for a while.
Still, don’t despair: it’s at least some concrete news about LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, a game that Warner Bros. appears to have forgotten actually exists. Spring is now mere days away, but we’ve heard hide nor hair from the publishers or developers since Gamescom in August.
Tomorrow’s State of Play – a video games showcase focused on all things PlayStation – may yet deliver the goods, but we’re not holding our breath. If we don’t hear anything soon, we’ll be forced to conclude that the game really has been delayed – unless Warner Bros. is just trying to build hype, one steelbook case at a time.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
