Kirk Kristiansen family move up the Forbes rich list
The Kirk Kristiansen family are reaping the financial rewards of the LEGO Group’s success in recent years, as the family has moved 30 spots up the Forbes rich list. The annual list sees the founding family move to the 35th spot this year.
The Copenhagen Post highlights the additionally impressive statistic that going back to 2015, the Kirk Kristiansens did not even make the top 100 list. Now, their assets are worth 21 billion in US dollars.
The Kirk Kristansen family are by far the wealthiest Danes on the list.
Bestseller’s owner Anders Holch Povlsen ranked 226th with 6.3 billion dollars, while Coloplast owner, Niels Peter Louis-Hansen, placed 474th with 3.8 billion dollars.
Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen is keenly involved with the development of the LEGO House in Billund, which will be a celebration of the LEGO brick right in the centre of the LEGO Group’s hometown, opening in September.
