A first look at new LEGO Ideas set 21334 Jazz Quartet
Early reviews are starting to appear online for the latest LEGO Ideas set, 21334 Jazz Quartet, giving us a first look at these hep cats.
One of the joys of LEGO Ideas is that we know well in advance what the next set is going to be. Maybe that ramps up the excitement for you, maybe it simply spoils the surprise. Either way, it’s been no secret that the next set will be 21334 Jazz Quartet, designed by user Hsinwei Chi. Youtuber Tiago Catarino has posted an early video taking a quick look at the set.
The design features four brick built musicians – a pianist, trumpeter, upright bass player and a drummer – plus their instruments, all standing on a small stage. The set is flexible enough to not only allow various poses for the four jazzers, but also lets builders decide just how they want the modular layout to be put together. As the video shows, there are some neat techniques used to create the instruments while each musician has a distinct body type rather than being four generic figures.
The 1606 piece set will be released on July 1, costing £89.99/$99.99/€99.99 and is available to pre-order from LEGO.com.
