Jim Henson’s Labyrinth enters second LEGO Ideas 2022 review

A project based on Jim Henson’s Labyrinth has entered the second 2022 LEGO Ideas review stage, recreating a puzzling room of staircases.

Coming from the mind of ColonelAttentiveCandy, their first submission to reach a review round, Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Escher Room has earned enough support to enter the current LEGO Ideas round, offering it a chance of becoming a future model in the theme.

With two minifigures of Sarah, Jareth and baby Toby and a room recreating M.C. Escher’s classic artwork using exactly 3,000 pieces, those familiar with the film will likely recognise more than a few details in this build, especially at the base of the project.

It wouldn’t be the first Jim Henson property to get a LEGO set, as 71033 The Muppets was released earlier in the year.

Here’s a look at every project in the latest round so far, bringing the total to 10 submissions:

Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Escher Room
Working Orrery
Medieval Alchemist
Lisbon Tram (Elétrico De Lisboa)
Fishing in the Muddy Waters
Escape Game: Carter’s Secret
Auto Repair Garage 1930s
Motorized Steampunk Ship
Indiana Jones, Raiders Of The Lost Ark – 40th Anniversary
Lilo & Stitch: Beach House

In other LEGO Ideas news, we’re just days away from the launch of 21333 Vincent van Gogh – The Starry Night but LEGO VIP members can secure their copy of the set now on the official online store.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
