The latest LEGO Ideas submission to hit the magic 10K supporters mark is Vintage Toaster, an impressive retro kitchen appliance.
The second LEGOIdeas review of 2023 continues to add even more fan-designed creative builds to a line-up of submissions that’s now close to reaching 40. Following hot on the heels of Taylor Swift Lover House is a new retro model from dimexart, whose previous entries have included Vintage Radio and Antique Cash Register.
The 10K Club Member’s latest creation follows in a similar vein, with Vintage Toaster being the latest addition to the builds currently under consideration. Offering up a ‘fully working’ model, the clever design features the ability to pop in brick-built slices of bread, with a handy mechanism replacing them with toasted versions.
Vintage Toaster works via a nifty mechanism inside the faux kitchen appliance, with rubber bands holding the bread in place and a simple button push sliding the replacement slices into place. The build consists of 648 pieces and the professional look and unique functionality of the design could ultimately make it a winner.
However, there’s no way of knowing at this stage if the latest fan-created submission will make it through the second LEGOIdeas review of 2023, with the results of which models will become physical sets not due until sometime in October.
