LEGO Technic 42109 App-Controlled Top Gear Rally Car officially announced
In collaboration with Top Gear, the LEGO Group is unveiling LEGO Technic 42109 App-Controlled Top Gear Rally Car.
First mentioned back in September, the LEGO Technic 42109 App-Controlled Top Gear Rally Car has now been officially unveiled. In partnership with BBC Studios, the LEGO Group will release “an authentic looking GT rally car” that can be controlled using an app on December 26. Fans in the UK will pay £124.99 and fans in the USA will pay $129.00 for the set.
The BBC Top Gear team collaborated with the LEGO Technic design team to co-design the car’s body and stickers “to create an ultra-realistic and fast looking racer”. The CONTROL+ app will feature functions including steering, multi-touch control and gyro control. Challenges and achievements to unlock will encourage continued play with the car.
To power the Rally Car, the designers incorporated a large motor, XL motor and Bluetooth controlled smart hub into its 463 pieces.

42109 App-Controlled Top Gear Rally Car will be released on December 26.
