New LEGO ‘Drive what you love’ TV spot

The LEGO ‘Drive what you love’ television spot has launched, featuring some of the best car sets currently available from the company.

A new LEGO television spot goes all-out to promote the many car related sets that are currently on the shelves. ‘Drive what you love’ depicts the imagination that comes to both children and adults when they play with a LEGO vehicle, as the blocky sets transform into the real-world versions of the cars they are driving around the floor.

The television spot features sets from the LEGO City, Technic and Speed Champions themes, demonstrating the different options in terms of size and detail that the range provides. It is part of a campaign that is focused on the ‘passion point’ of cars, promoting multiple themes within one marketing push.

LEGO sets features in the spot include 60251 Monster Truck, 76895 Ferrari F8 Tributo, 76898 Formula E Panasonic Jaguar Racing GEN2 car & Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY and 42103 Dragster.

Over the course of a five part interview, LEGO Design Lead Chris Stamp explains to Brick Fanatics how the Speed Champions theme has developed over the years to the point where he and the team were ready to change the size of the cars. He discusses the importance of authenticity and how the new scale has helped the LEGO designers to introduce new cars to the theme.
