It’s time for The Hourglass to join the second LEGO Ideas review of 2025

The Hourglass is the latest fan-designed creation to crack the LEGO Ideas 10K club, thanks to a unique brick-built timepiece.

Successful submissions for the second LEGO Ideas review of 2025 are steadily ticking along, with a total of 16 such designs having already drummed up 10,000 supporters each. That list has now grown again courtesy of The Hourglass, the brainchild of fan builder Airbricks95.

Constructed from 856 pieces, The Hourglass is a purely decorative model and lacks any functioning internal mechanisms. Instead, the object is meant to be more symbolic of its source material and is intended to be displayed on a shelf or above a fireplace.

With a combination of gold, brown, tan and transparent LEGO pieces, The Hourglass certainly looks the part at least. In addition to the elegant appearance of the exterior, a closer look at the model reveals that there’s more going on inside than at first glance.

For starters, multiple 1×1 tiles have been used to replicate the sand of The Hourglass and can be spotted in the top part of the build. In addition, the lower section of the LEGO Ideas set features an impressive microscale castle, complete with trees and a flowing river.

Despite all of its charm, we’ll have to wait and see if The Hourglass has what it takes to make it through the LEGO Ideas judging phase and on to the next stage of the review.

For now though, you can take a look at the table below to remind yourself of all of the fan designs that are currently sitting in the second LEGO Ideas review of 2025.
