Shipping costs for LEGO BrickLink Designer Program sets confirmed
BrickLink has confirmed the shipping costs for its rejected LEGO Ideas sets ahead of its first crowdfunding round later today.
A total of seven LEGO Ideas 10K projects will be available to pre-order from 4pm UK time today as part of the BrickLink Designer Program, including Jason Allemann’s Pursuit of Flight and Daniel Van Zonneveld’s Castle of the Forest.
Details surrounding that first of three rounds of crowdfunding have been pretty thin on the ground – we still don’t know how much the sets will cost, for example – but BrickLink has at least now confirmed shipping charges across the entire program.
Or, more specifically, it’s confirmed the absence of shipping charges, because delivery will apparently be completely free. That’s according to the BrickLink Designer Program’s recently-updated FAQ, which also now reflects the Mountain View Observatory’s delay to a subsequent crowdfunding round due to ‘unforeseen complexities’.
Thanks to the LEGO Group acquiring BrickLink in 2019, purchasing any of the program’s sets will also earn you VIP points, though they won’t count towards current gift-with-purchase offers ‘this time around’.
Click through the links below to check out all seven projects in this crowdfunding round, then set your alarm for 4pm UK time today. Only the first five to hit 3,000 pre-orders will go into production, and each of the successful sets will max out at 5,000 copies.
Castle of the Forest
BIONICLE Legends
Great Fishing Boat
Sheriff’s Safe
Pursuit of Flight
Particle Accelerator
Kakapo

Author Profile
- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
