All aboard! A new LEGO Ideas design has chugged past 10,000 votes

The latest LEGO Ideas fan design has attracted both train enthusiasts and book lovers at the same time, making its way past 10,000 supporters.

Hot on the heels of their last successful design, the Chameleon, Danish builder Jimmi-DK has managed to get another model past 10,000 votes on LEGO Ideas just three days after the last. Train Bookends splits into, making it look as though a train is chugging its way through your bookshelf. Built in the style of a traditional steam locomotive, the train is manned by five minifigures, a train driver and four passengers.

What’s more, the roofs lift off the train to reveal the cosy interior within. Each bookend weighs about half a kilo, so they’ll be plenty strong enough to keep your books in place.

Train Bookends joins 44 other sets on their way to becoming real LEGO Ideas sets. Of course, the decision of what will finally make it onto LEGO store shelves now lies with the LEGO Ideas review team. Here’s a reminder of all the sets that have currently made it into the second 2023 review stage.
