LEGO Ideas embraces ancient history with Egyptian 10K project

Various projects have proposed that LEGO Ideas explores ancient history and now, Egypt has been pitched for the fan-inspired theme.

The first 2024 LEGO Ideas review is continuing to grow, adding the Ancient Egyptian Temple by GJC15344 to the roster. This history-inspired build is based on ancient Egyptian architecture and proposes seven included minifigures using currently available pieces.

A chariot pulled by two horses is also included and the temple has everything from depictions of gods and heroes to detailed interior spaces using just over 2,000 pieces overall.

This project now joins 36 other models in the first 2024 review, including many other history-based submissions from medieval times to Ancient Rome.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
