Third time lucky for LEGO Naruto ramen shop on LEGO Ideas

A LEGO Ideas project centred around the Naruto ramen shop has made it to 10,000 supporters – for the third time.

That’s right, this project from DadiTwins (aka David and Diego Escalona) might well look familiar, seeing as though this is the third time that it’s made it to the LEGO Ideas review. The first hit 10,000 supporters in August, 2020, with the second following in October, 2021 in a special 20th-anniversary format.

Fast forward to March 13, 2023 and the third submission for the same design has just passed the all-important milestone, in celebration of Naruto’s 25th anniversary in 2024.

“As Naruto says, we will not give up,” the fan designers wrote. “We stand strong and we still think that Naruto has a lot of potential to become a great LEGO set. For that reason and in coincidence with the 25th anniversary of Naruto in 2024, we are in the perfect timing to re-launch this idea today.”

The proposed set sticks to the same design as the second submission, featuring eight minifigure in the 1,600-piece set and a number of accessories to fill out the kitchen and restaurant itself. The minifigures included are Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, Hinata Hyuga, Kakashi Hatake, Teuchi Ichiraku, Ayame Ichiraku, and Iruka Umino.

Naruto: Ichiraku Ramen Shop – 25th Anniversary is the 41st set to make it into the first LEGO Ideas review stage of 2023. Here’s a reminder of all the other sets so far.
