LEGO Ideas 10K project ties into Castle Wolfpack’s return

It’s no secret that the various LEGO Ideas review rounds have been rife with Castle projects, but the latest proposal could tie in with the official sets.

BrickHammer of 21343 Viking Village is back in a LEGO Ideas review round with a Castle-inspired project that pays homage to the scoundrels and ruffians of the Wolfpack. Wolfpack Castle uses 1,776 pieces and proposes five included minifigures featuring a new leader for the faction, a crossbowman, a guard, a robber and a ghost.

Aside from the ghost uses a likely retired element, the set seems realistic and the LEGO Group has a precedent of bringing back classic themes within LEGO Ideas, including 21325 Medieval Blacksmith for the Black Falcons previously.

This suggested return of the Wolfpack came shortly after the release of 10332 Medieval Town Square in 2023, including the first Wolfpack minifigure in the modern era of LEGO Castle. They’ve yet to feature prominently in a larger set though and this could be their chance for a comeback.

At the time of writing, Wolfpack Castle is only a proposal as part of the first 2024 LEGO Ideas review, which now totals 44 projects. Of these 44 submissions are a few others inspired by LEGO Castle too, as is usually the case with review rounds.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
