Time flies as another LEGO Ideas design makes it over the 10K line

You might soon be able to track the passage of time in an old-school fashion – as well as with something entirely made of LEGO bricks.

From the same fan designer who created Mechanical Flip Clock (which unfortunately didn't get approved in the third LEGO Ideas 2022 review), Mechanical Flip Calendar has now also gained 10,000 votes. Sariels Bricks and Pets clearly has a knack for brick-built ways to track time passing – although it's worth noting that neither actually has a working mechanism.

Nonetheless, Mechanical Flip Calendar can tick through the days and months, with a retro day marker on the right-hand side. A yellow knob on the side allows you to flick through the month abbreviations and enough numbers to make up every date from across the year.

Mechanical Flip Calendar will now go up against 32 other LEGO Ideas submissions in the third 2023 review, which will be coming to a close at the end of the year. Here's a reminder of every other LEGO Ideas project currently with 10,000 supporters.
