LEGO Ideas takes a festive holiday to the Italian Riviera

The latest fan-made LEGO Ideas design to make it past 10,000 supporters is a quaint take on the cobbled streets of the Italian Riviera.

Known for its cuisine and charming coastal towns, the Italian Riviera is an attractive tourist location for many – and could soon become a real LEGO Ideas set. Galaxy333’s submission is made up of just over 2,900 pieces, depicting a collection of local businesses: a gelato shop, a florist, and a fish market, as well as a second-story living space.

Also included are six minifigures to populate the small slice of Italian life, as well as a number of small animals. The streets are cobbled with different sized LEGO plates and each building is a different pastel colour, ranging from pink to yellow. The classic Italian red slate tops off the structures with some creative use of elongated 1×1 studs.

The Italian Riviera joins 33 other LEGO Ideas submissions in the third and final 2023 review. The LEGO Ideas team will soon be reviewing each of them in turn to see which make it through to become LEGO Ideas sets on shelves.
