Metropolitan project rolls into first 2023 LEGO Ideas review

A build based on the Paris Metropolitan transport system adds to the diverse array of projects in the first 2023 LEGO Ideas review.

LEGO Ideas user LilBilly’s Metropolitan model has reached the first 2023 LEGO Ideas review as the 46th submission in the current review round. It’s not the first project inspired by an underground transport system, but this project features a story too.

As a minifigure hopes to catch the next train, they’ll journey down the intricate underground tunnels to the station with various details buried within the model to spot. On the surface, the iconic green metal architecture of the Metropolitan has been recreated with adverts too.

Here’s a look at every project in the first 2023 LEGO Ideas review so far:

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
